Placerville, Station 3 |

The unincorporated town of Placerville is home to Station 3. Built in 1986 the building was expanded in 2001 to house three engines, Engine 36, Engine 39 and Engine 34 with 600 gal, 1000 gal and 5000 gal water tanks respectively. Engines 36 and 39 have 1250 gal/min pumps. Engine 34 is a Type 3 wild land engine, bigger than a type 6, with 500 gal/min pump and a compressed airfoam system (CAFS). The station also houses a type 6 wild land engine, Brush 33, as well as two Tender Trucks, 31 and 32, ALS equipped Ambulance 3 and Recon 3, a Chevy Suburban. |
